10am Sunday Worship

Our main service takes place every Sunday at 10 am.

The main 10am monthly pattern can be seen below.

1st Sunday of the month – Communion and Choir

2nd Sunday of the month – All Together service

3rd Sunday of the month – Communion and Choir

4th Sunday of the month – Morning praise and Band

5th Sunday of the month – Communion and Band

What to expect

We are a Church of England church and so follow the structure and wording for all our main Sunday services. This involves singing, listening to a Bible reading and a reflection on the passage and praying for the world.

On the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday we celebrate communion (A re-enactment of the last meal Jesus had before he died) If you wish to receive a token of bread and wine there will be an opportunity near the end of the service. There is also the offer of a prayer of blessing, although there is no pressure to receive either.

We are also blessed to have a talented Choir and Band lead us in our sung worship. The words of the songs are on our screen or available in printed format if needed. Our services last between an hour and an hour and a half and refreshments are served after the service

Sunday club:

We also have a Sunday club that takes places during every 10am service except for the 2nd Sunday. This is for children and their parents or carers. We meet together after the first song and read, listen to a bible story and explore the topic together as a group. Please do message if you want to know more.

We also have a drop off group for children in primary school and this meets during the 10am service. Parents or carers will need to fill in a consent form before your children are able to attend. All leaders are Dbs checked and there is a small snack given during the group.

We have a teenage group (ages 12+) every 1st and 3rd Sunday. We meet for food and then explore a topic in more depth in the Robinson room.

All are leaders are DBS checked and have undertaken safeguarding training.

All together Sunday is a special service we have six times a year. Whilst at its heart it may look like a family service, the aim is for everyone to be all together for worship. We follow the same structure of a normal Sunday service but in a lively and interactive way. This is a great service to join if you’re new to church.

Welcome We meet every week for regular worship on a Sunday. Whether you are coming to church for the first time or moved to the area and are looking for a new place to worship we hope you find a warm welcome at St Andrew’s.

How to get here A limited amount of car parking is available on Crown street, entering the one way system from King street and parking is on the right. There are a few spaces outside the front of the church but these fill up fast. The closest place to park is in Sainsburys although parking charges may apply.

Accessibility. We have accessible toilets, both entrances to the church are wheelchair friendly. We have a working hearing loop and large print service sheets.
