Do you like singing?
Have you sung in a choir before or would like to give it a go?
St Andrew’s choir lead the worship at the main 10am service on the first and third Sundays of the month, and a traditional Evensong service at 6pm on the fourth Sunday on the month. We also lead some other services in the year – for example, our Carol Service.
We usually meet up two Friday evenings in the month to rehearse.
If you’re interested in finding out more, or joining, please contact our administrator: email:
ad.standrewskettering@gmail.com or call 07778 196610.
The first step will be to meet up with the choir leader after one of the Sunday morning
services, so he can get some indication of your singing voice, whether you’ve been in a
choir before, and whether you have any specific needs. If you’re not an experienced singer,
don’t worry – we can find a way forward. We follow the Royal School of Church Music
training scheme to help people learn how to sing.
At the moment, you need to be 18 years or older to join the choir, but we are hoping to
open it up to people aged 8 and over shortly, so do contact the administrator if you or a family member are interested.
