Christenings / Baptisms

During a christening your child, or yourself, will be baptized with water. It’s the start of an amazing journey of faith for you or your child and a special day for all your friends and family.

If you are interested in being Christened (sometimes called a baptism) or having your child christened we would be delighted to carry out the service at St Andrew’s. Our Christening services usually takes place after our 10am service and last around half an hour.

To find out more, we recommend coming to our 10am Sunday service and talk to the Vicar. He will take your details and arrange to visit you and talk about what’s involved.

Although there is no fee for a Christening, there is a £14 charge for the candle and certificates, which can be paid at the service. If this is an issue for you, please do let us know as there is a bursary available.
